"It has been my pleasure to be the Elementary Director in a Schola Rosa Co-op for the second year. I would have to say that in our home, the Virtue of the week and explanation of the historical time period studied each week in the Handbook for each unit has been especially helpful. My 9 year old often enjoys the audio books, as it is not possible for her to read all the recommended books herself. She begs to listen to the Audio Books while she draws even after our school day is "over". Having all the resources at hand to enrich the Memory work has been a blessing as well. We particularly enjoyed Mr. Rolling's explanation of the Constitution! The Charlotte Mason style study of Science has been truly unique and enjoyable! We have enjoyed the Secret of Everyday Things and the study of History through Literature. History Pockets were a great hands-on resource. Most importantly, I appreciate the emphasis on our Catholic faith throughout the History, Catechism and Scripture studies. The Catechism is even quoted in our study of the weeks virtue, and the study of our Saints is included in the Timeline, History Sentences and in the Handbook for the week. We appreciate the continued improvements in the online suite and look forward to the 2015-2016 year!
